¬Have a Tetanus shot update if it's been more than 10 years since the last one

¬Call poison center for instructions on all bites and stings

Watch for symptoms of an allergic reaction¬

Hospitalization is not usually required unless an allergic reaction is present

Cut the area or attempt to suck out the poison

Scratch the area affected, this will only spread the poison and delay healing

Apply any substance or chemical to the affected area without consulting the poison control center first
